About You
You are either a high school student-athlete seeking to play your sport at the collegiate level, or you are the parent of a student-athlete and wish to help your son/daughter reach this goal.
Student-Athlete: You aspire to play your sport at the college of your dreams. You've been told by your coaches, personal trainers and parents that you could possibly compete at the collegiate level if you continue to work hard, stay focused and maintain discipline. Unfortunately, that's not enough, and you know it.
You've got to aggressively market yourself. Now you're ready to get serious about getting your name, your talent and your abilities in front of college recruiters and you've decided to take the necessary steps.
It will take more than just sending out a few letters. It will take time researching specific programs and learning how your skills will benefit the program you seek. You can't just fill out some forms and answer a few questions, lift weights, and then expect a fully-funded college life. You must set yourself apart if you want the chance to play at the next level.
Parent of Student-Athlete: You must be as committed, if not more, than your son/daughter. The competition to get the attention of college recruiters goes far beyond your child's sport or ability. You must work diligently to get in front of as many colleges as possible. If you leave this task up to your son/daughter then you are putting all their hard work at risk. You must be involved in the process. It takes your commitment.
